This device may be used safely in three ways. By the flick of a switch, you can direct ultrasonic emissions to 1) train your dog not to bark; 2) deter unwanted dogs from approaching or chasing you; and 3) light your path with a handy flashlight. The device emits two types of ultrasound - one that helps quell barking, and one that causes a dog to pause and rethink its route/action. Neither sound is harmful to the dog, but the repellent sound startles and confuses an oncoming dog and can help deter a chaser or worse, a stray dog attack. Cyclists may find this feature useful.
1. Train your dog remotely with this remote-control device:
By switching the function-button to the middle option while pressing the BEAM button, you can use the device train your dog not to bark. If your dog is barking in the back yard while you're indoors, for example, you can easily beam the device toward your pet with the correct setting and it will quell the barking.
2. Drive away unwanted or vicious dogs:
Set the function button to the third option and press the BEAM switch, pointing the device toward an oncoming dog. It will distract the animal and cause it to pause, panic and flee by emitting an ultrasonic tone that makes it want to run away, acting as a repellent.
3. Use as a handy flashlight:
Switch the function to the first option, press the BEAM button to use as a flashlight.
This device is battery operated and does not include battery.
